Well what a miserable stretch of weather we had the last week.
Lots of wetness as I said – Depends x 3 for sure maybe a whole package depending (no pun intended) on where you were at!! The Super-cell outbreak was pretty incredible for our area with numerous wind damage reports and 7 confirmed tornadoes that touched the earths surface and caused damage with about another dozen funnel clouds and swirls over head that never made it to Tornado status. It has been registered as a Tornado outbreak by the rules of the NWS.
So we’ll have two summer like days with the humidity building in on the return flow of this high pressure system as it slides to our east and into the Hotlantic (well not so much anymore). With that Sunday will be showery with possibly T-storms as will Monday though Monday doesn’t look to be quite as wet than cloudy.
For those of you traveling to the Gulf State what did I say in my May 15th write-up?? There would be tropical activity along the South East or Gulf States. How did I know you ask? I looked at the maps and teleconnections of the MJO and the boys on the 33&rain, NJ Strong and USAwx forums I belong to. And what will this first tropical cyclone be named???
