We have a plethora of events and what a time to be alive but more so GIVE THANKS for ALL that we HAVE!!
Wx Extremes
WOW we went from record breaking warmth too cold in one weeks’ time. Get used to it because this is what we are in for as we transition from fall to winter.
We have record cold low and high temps today for many regions. How is this global warming oops I misspoke the new vernacular of “climate change” – the climate cycles are ALWAYS CHANGING!!! Repeat after me: it’s not me, you or CO2 but our ever changing cycle of climate on this beautiful God given planet we call Earth, the Sun cycle the Galactical Cycle as well. We have so many cycles overlapping during this time frame its incredible to discuss and even list at this point.
Anyway, how about Buffalo region? Orchard Park has recorded…….80” of white gold, that’s just shy of a doorway or the top of Shaquille O’Neils head (we’ll he’s 7’-2”!) They have more to come.

We had our first wintry precip on Nov 15th in the form of sleet and graupel – it stuck in areas N&W as I called back in mid-October at our 1st weather club meeting with my student members, Geeb, Denburg, Lapinson, Rimland, Dolan, Waller, Kao (new member who I can see becoming Pres one day……. of this club) and our first snow on Nov 18th in the form of a squall that caused some areas N&W to have stickage.

Get used to it folks it’s going to be the name of the weather and it’s going to get extreme. How so? A SNO…NADO – THAT’S RIGHT A SNOW TORNADO! And Lightning storms in Lake Effect Snow storms – two unheard of such events! Its SNO…VEMBER!!!

Thanksgiving
Peeps he great American Holiday that only we celebrate is this Thursday. I ask we all give THANKS to God for what we have and the gifts we have in our lives, health, family, friends and his forever love and guidance. He is and will always be with us. When you sit down to break bread, remember all those relatives who are no longer and give thanks for what they did in their time – they had some type of effect on your life in one way or another. God Bless you all and I wish a great Thanksgiving to you and your loved one. I give tanks for this weather blog and my followers.
Fri/Sat Storm Potential
We have a big storm potential brewing for Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. It looks to be a heavy rain maker for the coast and a snow bomb inland especially mountain ski resorts. We are a 6 hours away in NNJ for what could be a bomb genesis of a storm as is depicted for New England. We need a few, well one big but it is small in nature change in the set up and we could have snows to the city. It is hard in the climatological period of November but never out of the questions as we saw in 2017’s Nov 17th snowstorm that dripped 4-6” area wide and crippled the region during rush hour like 1982 blizzard. It looks to maybe have some backside snow showers and squalls on Saturday with very windy conditions and cold air ushering in as it leaves.
December Temp. Outlook
December temps are already being forecasted to be below normal and we have a very wintry pattern setting up. I think our 1st snows area wide is by the Dec 15th time frame. Can I go 2 for 2? Time will tell.
