The overnight snows of 7″ I measured by eye (yes if yuo ask my engineering students they will tell you I can measure to within the 1/16 of an inch on their CAD Drawings) at 7:20AM in H’dale this morning WAS NOT from teh main Coastal Storm it is what is called overrunning. This is where warm air overruns or runs over teh top of colder dense air and snows due to this.
And the warnings cancellation keep coming
Bout the only good thing this nitwit has don since being in office!
Radar – dark greens and yellow colors = 1-3″ per hours snowfall with blowing snow.
WOW this is really cool you can see the gravity waves forming NJ – remarkable :
“A gravity wave is nothing more than a wave moving through a stable layer of the atmosphere. Thunderstorm updrafts will produce gravity waves as they try to punch into the tropopause. The tropopause represents a region of very stable air”
Means a very strong storm!!!!
