UPDATE: 7″ OTG, heavy blowing snow
Blizzard conditions winds 15-25 gusts up to 35 mph
Visibility 1/4 or less
Snow rates 2-4″ an hour – (LaGuardia airport received 3″ between 8-9AM!!)
Thunder and lightening in heaviest bands – like a snow thunderstorm! (Reported all around so far – Jersey City, LI etc)
SNOW Totals 12-20″ for NNJ, NYC Metro and LI
RADAR: ALL THAT DARK GREEN IS 1-3″ SNOWFALL AND YELLOW IS 2-4″
Temps – will be falling like a rock off a building – yesterday 58* for a high and tonight teens/single digits and tomorrow night single digits – BRRRRRR! heck its winter !!

Isn’t it just magnificent outside today? As my friend Guerci texted me this morning “Al q you are a very wealthy man with all of this white gold!” – So very true. In more ways than one!
Well well well what do ya’ll think now by the call? Well I can’t take all teh credit believe me it is a work that is a compilation of two forums I belong to. Those folks on the USAwx and NJ Strong Weather forums deserve a bunch of credit. A parts to whole method. I have to give credit where credit is due. I am just a messenger, interpreter and weather weenie HAHAHA!
At least 6″ on the ground here in NENJ H’dale and we have had blizzard conditions for the past hour and shall continue through the early afternoon for NENJ, NYC metro and well LI you JACKPOT ONCE AGAIN (FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!).
2/3 of LI is under a Blizzard Warning – only 50 more miles west and NYC Metro area would have that warning as well. Criteria is not met BUT we will have blizzard conditions like I said through early about noonish/1PM.
Looking ahead
Snow again Saturday coating to a few inches – DOHHHH!! NNJ, NYC, LI
All eyes turn to next week – Thursday time frame – many big players on the field that if hay want to ocme together and play nice nice then we get BIG BIG storm – like this expect slower, much slower (double the time!!)
As I complete writing this update it is literally puking snow now with winds whipping around – snowfall rates are 2″ an hour here now – crazy but awesome.
