This is a MAJOR problem – over 13,000,000 million yes that’s right million folks of acres are unplantable, sodden fields for alfalfa, soybean, what, corn and they will wet plant so they can get their insurance money from teh gov’t which will be in the millions!!!
-
Roy Huckabay, executive vice president of Chicago brokerage the Linn Group, said as many as 10 million acres intended for corn may not be sown this year, with about 2 million of those acres likely switching to soybeans.
- The USDA’s FSA has only published nationwide prevented plant data since 2007. Corn planting progress of only 58% as of Sunday was the slowest pace since records begin in 1980.

AccuWeather is predicting a significant shortfall in United States corn production for 2019 as a result of continued flooding, wet weather and the upcoming forecast throughout key parts of the U.S. Corn Belt.
AccuWeather predicts corn yield will be a significant 9% lower than an earlier U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) estimate. The USDA predicted 14.96 billion bushels – last year’s corn yield was 14.3 billion bushels — but a just-released AccuWeather analysis estimates this year’s total at 13.6 billion bushels.
The projected soybean yield loss predicted by AccuWeather is lower, but still noteworthy. The USDA initially expected 4.17 billion bushels following 2018’s record season of 4.54 billion bushels, but AccuWeather predicts the yield will be 4.0 billion bushels. That’s a 4% falloff from the USDA’s first estimate
If you read the farmers Ag Blog Accuweather is smoking the Cannibas !!!!!!!!!!!!
Prices are already beginning to rise and signs of shortages of fruits and etc will be forthcoming and are up already.
Oh and futures of these products are off the wall with short calls which means they are expecting failure in the short term.
July HEAT??
Okay there are indications that July could be a VERY HOT month as the Bermuda High looks to expand North as all indications from the SE Ridge and heat are here already. Here meaning record heat in the SE and it is literally 200-250 miles South of us here in NNJ. It will be humid due to the high moisture content. So time will tell and one met is saying 40-45 days of 90 degree for the Newark region and the possibility of a couple 100 degree days.
Time will tell so get hat AC serviced!!
