SUN Day Not
Peeps another drearish weekend and SUN Day it is not. But as my wife and I were standing outside church today waiting to run to our car in the pouring rain we struck up a conversation with a few goers. I said, look at it this way, the rain is great for the grass, plants, crops, reservoirs and water/life cycle right? If it were 105 degrees we’d be complaining it was to hot. Peeps need to embrace the weather. As Joe Bastardi says, “enjoy the weather …..it’s the only weather you got”?!
Good day to catch up on paperwork, emails, clean out the closet, watch some good Netflix documentaries etc.
Rains will come in wave, large batches. Some will have some pretty intense T-Rexes imbedded.
Can expect upward of 1.5 -2.5” of rain.

Humidity gets cut like a corn stalk by a machete Tuesdayish but doesn’t last as humidity builds back after Thursday. Enjoy it while it lasts.
So far this month I have recorded 6.35” of rain. Our reservoirs here are filled to the brim after what was labeled a moderate drought. Drought no more as they are dumping water. Man, never ceases to amaze as we are weak. We cry when we have a drought and you’d think we dredge the reservoirs to deepen them to hold more water and complain when to much rain for ruining our day, flooding etc. We did not learn from the great droughts in 1979-1981, 1998-1999, etc. etc.
Pattern
As I said numerous times in the blog I have written and peeps I talk to since mate May/early June – this summer is going to be wet and cool. So far spot on. We are half way through meteorological summer and this holds true. The next two weeks look to be the same as another trough builds back in over us and we have cooler than normal temps but a couple to a few degrees and many more chances for rain.
Concern for a tropical system as we get toward September and October for us up this way. Just a heads up as the pressure pattern are being depicted on models.
Volcanoes

Anyway, we had a moderate Volcano go off in the South Pacific to 59K feet which is 11 ¼ ish miles into the atmosphere. The ash, gasses reached the tropopause which is the thin layer between the troposphere and stratosphere. God thing this was at the equator level because if it were above 45-degree North or say up in Alaska, it would have reached midway into the stratosphere. This will have some effects on the region for sure.

What is the Tropopause?
The tropopause is a thin layer of the Earth’s atmosphere that separates the lower troposphere and the higher stratosphere. At the poles, it is roughly 36,000 feet (1,100 meters) above sea level, and increases to 58,000 feet (1,700m) around the equator. The tropopause is notable as the ceiling beneath which most terrestrial weather occurs.
Earthquakes and Volcanoes are ramping up overall and we’ll have moderate to big one to be dealing with the next few years.
