First area wide snowstorm of the season will commence in about 4 hours for NNJ. It has already begun in SNJ and in DE my son reports snow and about 1″ so far.
The arctic air is nestled in, 20* last night for my low and reached 31* for my high! This bad boy has overperform all over it for areas NW of NYC and I95 corridor.
It has trended a bit stronger and the precipitation is increasing due to the stronger jet streak over us and the warmer ocean temperatures this time of year.
From the ultra-forecast conservative heat miser at Upton in NY National Weather Service say 2-4″ with a tenth of an inch of ice.
The storm starts tonight around 9-11PMish and lasts until 2-4PM for the metro area
