Snowstorm Midweek
It’s a coming and it is going to be good possibly great for those of us N& W of NYC
Here was the call last week in my blog on Jan 11th
Midweek Snowstorm Potential
Models are showing what could be a plowable meaning 3″ plus snowstorm around Wednesday next week.
We have the cold air in place and a system that will dive in from Canada and round the base of the trough – like the Kentucky Derby horses when the round the final turn and shoot out to the finish line or as the great Davy Jones calls – and down the stretch they come!! IF we can get this to slow down enough it could be a big storm like an 8″ plus.
This is what we are all looking at from North of Hackensack (Rt 80) all the way to Hackesttown, NJ
Sorry LI to SNJ peeps but this aint your storm !!
Oh and guess who is paying us a surprise visit – your friend and Simo’s (not mine I don’t like this creature LOL!)
BARNEY’s BACK
Some snow maps to help you see the potential here:
Precip in terms of liquid Blue for you baby!!
Cliff Notes:
Storm:
Starts 8PM ish NNJ – NWNJ around 4 PM
Ends: around 10am ish Wednesday morning
Snowfall:
NNJ: 4-6/7″
LHV: 5-8″ – Quinner, Ryan O, Britt, DOC, CP and Guerci Upstate Abode
NYC Metro: 1-3″
Still cold through Thursday/Friday morning then we thaw again – this one may last for a good wee.
I have 17″ of snow measured so far this season and we are about 4 weeks into winter (normal is 34″ here is Hillsdale)
Models show a reload of winter again from early Feb on through Early March.
Next snow threat around 1-28 – sorry peeps unless teh 25th storm can produce may have to live through some warmth and rain for a good week as currently modeled and projected.
Updates to come.
