Peeps,
Well, the warmister won out for my area but other areas just NW of me recorded 2-3/4″ of white gold adn ice – me I record .5″ bring my totals so far for this winter to a wapping…………………………………….1″ – OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY!! I can’t contain my excitement (sarcasm!).
My call initial was 75 miles off and my second call was pretty spot on – started snowing in NNJ – Morris County and Passaic County at 6:30ish (Said 6PM ish) so my ish came to fruition.
Severity of the storm was not bad overall – again 25 miles from here – it was bad!
Windy much?
MJO induced rain – what? The MJO which takes place over the Indian Ocean is moderating our temperature for rain which may if it comes in sooner Wednesday early AM start as ice and cause some travel issues for NW NJ and maybe other parts of Morris and Passaic Counties up into the Highlands Region of Bergen County. Need to keep an eye on this.
But it will flip to rain after starting as ice again possibly – timing is everything – IF this storm was two days earlier we’d have a blizzard that would rival the great 1888 blizzard! But it’s not so we deal, rant about how this winter has been so wet and sucky from a snow standpoint and move on.
Sunday – Wed
There are two storms potentially:
Sunday into Monday
The American Model FV3 (taking over the GFS in a few days) is on drugs with this look – this is a CAT 3 Hurizzard or Blizzacane – that is a hurricane and blizzard combined. It son crack and would put us over our avg snowfall with one storm – this is just for entertainment purposes. We actually run the risk of a rainstorm instead and the inland areas get crushes – time will tell.
But imagine if we did???
Wednesday
Round #2 of the PV – next week
Updates to come.
