Okay the day did not extend by an hour of sunlight peeps. All we did what change the time frame sunlight – we moved it from the early morning to the evening. I love when people say we have an extra hour of sunlight. So we change our clocks and we magically obtain another hour of sunlight?? Oye! So with that being said I and most of us will take the sun up at 7:00 pm then going down as usual in standard time at 6:00 pm.
Round 3 – Confusion! A few inches to a foot?
411 – this is from Zungoli one asst Snow Queen and top ranking snow weenie or my new phrase “queenie” – a snow queen weenie HAHAAHHAAHAHAHAH!! 411 back in the day = INFORMATION so here we go:
OMG the storm is going to drive me and the peeps on my weather board nuts. This storm had so much potential and was showing a beastly impact earlier this week and up to 72 hours ago then all poop broke loose. Right now we have the National Weather Service projecting 3-5 for the NNJ area and 4-7″ for the LHV. A 50 mile shift SE by the storm and we could see 6-12″.
Start time Monday evening
The NWS has the heaviest snow midnight thru 9 am
End Time Tuesday morning
Commute will be impacted Tuesday morning
Delayed opening for NNJ are in the cards at this time.
LI and coastal CT will see the brunt with blizzard like conditions and about 8 -16″ of white gold. Also, the Jersey Shore will see about 4-7″ as well.
If this storm shifts more east NNJ and NYC get nada.
IF it shifts 50 – 100 miles west which is possible but not likely then we see about a foot overnight.
The main piece of energy that we are waiting on is the polar energy that is up in Canada so we wont know until midnight tonight what is what – I know with all the modern technology we have today it will be last-minute adjustments!
Ceiling – very optimistic of what we CAN get but only a 10% chance at this time!!

Here in lies the issue:
The energy on some models show what is called a phase but on other like the GFS show it not phasing thus causing a weaker and more easterly storm. Circle area with the two x show the Polar energy and the Southern Energy – they don’t come together like me and you weenies here LOL!!
THE NAM on the other shows this phase like you and me: see the black like – it is not a full phase but partial and they make nice., if it were a full phase as depicted a few days ago the WOWZA we’d be pummeled with a classic blizzard.

Sorry if I built this up to be a beast for our area – still a small chance but more so for CT and LI at this time. As we say a hair away from the goods. 50 -100 mile shift is nothing but so far away.
