What a miserable winter for the Snow Royals = King (me self-appointed, any problems with that??? no snow for you!!, Queen, Prince, ad Princess. We have had a secret meeting or two to try and cajole the weather God to bring us some white gold and cold but we’ve have been shunned by Nina, PDO and AMO which combined have outdueled us!! Nina is he La Nina which is moderate level and has just steered our storms to our west bringing us much needed but unwanted rains; PDO is the Pacific Decadal Oscillation that has put a massive trough in the West giving them much needed and 200-300% annual snowfall, rain and cold; AMO is the Atlantic Modulated Oscillation has been warm, above average causing storms when the pull the air off the Atlantic it is much warmer by about 5* from normal to be warmer this giving us rainstorms instead of snow as the winter progresses.

NYC central park has had a streak of 33 days above normal for temperatures so far breaking the old record of 31 straight days.
NYC accumulated, measurable latest in season snowfall was Jan 29th in Central Park in 1973. Well, we surpassed since there has been no measureable snowfall at all this winter and we look to break that record with each day that passes. When will this not be the case and we stop, cease the record you ask? I have no idea for eh foreseeable future maybe later in February? Maybe as soon as Wednesday morning as some snows are showing up on models which have been absolutely horrid this winter. I mean trash, they could not call a storm 36 hours out let alone 12 hours in some cases.
Monster Arctic Shot Inbound
This is thanks God in and out in 48 hours but will cause some infrastructure issues if gets as cold as the EURO is showing since Friday last week. Friday and Saturday. Saturday is the bulk, brunt of this cold and will be dangerous wind chills so I advise you chill, no pun, in Saturday and make soup, bake breads, brownies and make some homemade gravy for Sunday Pasta!!! I’d make sure outdoor faucets are drained, hoses taken off spigots so they don’t cease on from the cold, leaky windows put up some plastic interior wise and crank the starting Friday, house systems are going to have a tough time keeping up.
