Peeps its been a while, 2 months since I last blogged. Not much to really blog about weather wise, its been wet and chilly and been busy with life as we all are. Here are some highlights:
NJ EQ
Well the 4.8 on 4/5 was quite shocking and rocking the region. It hit the Ramapo fault line and many felt more than a rumble. It sounded like a freight train, low level jet rolling through for about 20 seconds here. Those are the P and S waves rolling through the earth as the crust rising, the Appalachians are growing!!!
We have had 27, yes 27 aftershocks with a couple 4.0’s. Now can we expect more aftershocks. Absolutely and we can expect 3.0+ for another month so do not be surprised by any reports of this.
The largest earthquake on record in NJ was in 1783 and it is said to have registered 5.3. Anything 5.3 or greater is structural damaging to this region.
Oh within 30 seconds after the EQ hit my phone blew up like xmas light on Clark Griswold’s house for xmas vacation!!

Ruang BOMMER
Volcano on Indonesia, Ruang Volcano exploded 70k, that went into the Stratosphere. Initial reports have said. Well see upon reanalysis what it actually is and the amounts. VEI 4-5 is what is being said.

An Indonesian volcano exploded two days ago and rang a 70,000-foot ash cloud that pierced into the stratosphere. That is a large puffer and should be at the VEI 4 or 5 level once reanalysis is completed. It was quite impressive and cause tsunami warnings for this region in the Pacific. There will be more such volcanoes in the coming years and they will only get stronger as will the earthquakes. Will it have an effect on the weather? Time will tell.
Hunga Tonga from 2 years ago has had a profound effect with the massive increase in water vapor of an estimated 1 Teragram =834 trillion gallons of 88-degree water = Lake Erie and Lake Champlain from what I have read. Why is so rainy? All that water vapor, moisture went up so it must come down, at least a majority of it! This is the reason why it’s been so wet since last spring overall. It exploded into the Mesosphere 36 miles up.
BN TEMPS
It looks to be possibly a below normal temperature regime settling in to averages the next 10 days with a possible, get this, don’t shoot the messenger, ARCTIC BLAST next Wednesday and Thursday! YIKES!!! 25-30* for night time lows!!
WH? The NAO is a block that has formed over Greenland and the EPO, pacific block formed over NW Pacific, Alaska. This combination will do such. Time will tell but it is head scratching for this time of year!
Dubai Flood
The greatest flood in the history of the desert has occurred in Dubai. And why? Some say cloud seeding, thank you Bill Gates and your progressive climate activist alarmist scammers methods. Others say a weather phenomena and others the earths cycle. Make a combination of all three and it’s a disaster. A years’ worth of rain in……..4.7 days!!
