This post was made on May 15th but did not go out so I am resending this and another one for yuor reading enjoyment on the gorgeous spring day!!
My last post was April 4th and I talked about about snowfall/wintry potential – well check that off the list and for May as well in the higher elevations of NNJ, Rockland, NWNJ, Poconos, Geurci Upstate abode etc.
Why couldn’t this happen in winter you ask? Because Big Momma wasn’t ready for it.
My Absence
Folks right after I sent that message that Sunday afternoon on April 7th my son and i were taking down his ice rink from this winter (of sorts). AS we were taking teh boards down I started to feel lightheaded and felt my heart racing a bit. So I took a break and after we rolled up the tarp and put it in our shed until next winter. Well with that my light headedness and heart racing increased and I said ” I am not feeling well” so I left him with all the tools we had out and came inside to get a drink of water. He followed me in and said to my wife – “Mom, dad said he isnt feeling to good” and they found me on our living room couch half slouched. My wife said you dont look good and we are going to the ER (which is 5 minutes down teh road from my home). On arrival, the administrator asked what are my symptons and I said I maybe having a heart attack – how could this be I am 49 and in very good health, eat right, don’t smoke, drink, started to exercise again. Boom he gave a ALL STAT call and in mutes they had me hooked up to an EKG, took blood, checked my vitals etc. In a few minutes later, they said good news it isn’t a heart attack but why the symptoms? About 20 minutes later they came back and said – “You are bleeding internally and we need to find out where and I’ll need to stay in the hospital a few days. Long end of the short they found a lesion in my large intestines, did a colonoscopy and on May 1st I had lapriscopic surgery that removed the mass and stopped the bleeding. Hence I have been down and out from this episode and major surgery but I am back and on the road to a full recovery.
1st Half of May 11 out of 15 days it rained and was below normal temperature wise 1 -4 degree for our areas.
Precip – DEPENDS ALEETTT! 3+” above normal.
2nd half of May should be normal type temps like 70*ish and possible heat for Memorial Day weekend but not banking on it at this time.

LR forecasts are calling for overall cooler adn wet conditions through teh 1st half of summer but humid due to the great amount of soil moisture content from all this rain!!
