Mr. Nor!!
As I said in my last update the weekend would be chilly and wet and we recorded a t-storm and showery activity all day Sunday and the temp Sat hit 62* not bad but our normal is 66* and Sunday it only hit 53* -WOW did it feel like March.
We have this strong block over Greenland which is called in the weather world a Negative NAO for North Atlantic Oscillation. In the summer time if this NAO is negative it means heat but from Oct through may it means cool to bitter cold for the winter months. Ahhh my favorite season, and speaking of IF we had this frickin’ pattern we, snow weenies, would be jumpin’ out of her epidermis right now with this set up.
So what do we have in store? He is called Mr. Nor and it means Nor’easter – strong coastal storm that bring in NE winds which cause minor to serious problems at the shores.
When – Friday through Sunday as the storm gets its act together. And speaking of the GFS known as the GooFUs has finally caught onto to this idea the Euro was advertising (not really) on its runs since Saturday!! Hopefully Trump in his bill for advanced forecasting and warning bill put money into upgrading this technology.
Lots or rain and winds peeps a downright bad day for Mom’s. If it is strong enough it will cause coastal flooding and possible power outages along with flooding. It could be a serious storm if it comes together as it is being modeled.
