The models are showing a historical storm that I quite frankly have not been this excited about since the blizzard of 2016!! It is going to be May 9th PEEPS MAY NINTH!! The sun angle this time of year is at 17.3 degrees which is equal to midish-August. Here is the map:
This would be the first time since weather records by all – this is going to back to our forefather – imagine this – that snowflakes can be recorded all the way to the coast ……in MAY!!
Timing: Friday night through Early Am Saturday
Accumulations: Trace to maybe 2” in the hills of NNJ, LHV
Higher elevations in Orange, Rockland, Passaic, Sussex and Warren Counties’ could see 1-maybe 3”.
Guerci land they’ll wake up Saturday morning to a winter wonderland – 2-3” Maybe 4” on the mountain
Temperatures will break records and I have been harping on this for over a week now and who is coming out of the woods to say OMG it MAY snow – Janice, Todd, Lonnie, Mr. G but they do not have my crystal weather ball, Nor the inside with this person:

Road to Crisis Averted…….for now
The government read my blog and have stepped in to help avowing what would have been a MAJOR crisis and we’ll still feel affects but they have been diminished to a degree for now. This issue being we can’t make up millions of culled, killed livestock. Time will tell but the 470 million they are pumping into this will certainly help, how much again remains to be seen.

Extended Lockdown
This is not what anyone wanted to hear and after 52 days since the lockdown started we will be in lockdown the longest out of ANY country or region in the world at the point we end this next 30 day period. Wuhan, China had folks dying in the streets and had about 400K cases and 50K deaths and they had a 76 day lockdown. Italy had a 65 day lockdown and they were in absolute disarray. We have in the state a less than 2% infection rate and out of 9 million people we have about 2700 hospitalized including nursing (home) care and rehab facilities with COVID.
The math is .0003% are hospitalized with this virus.
.014% is the infection rate of the state’s population.
Death Rate: (very sad indeed) is .0009% of the state’s population.
Is it scary, it was but we have flattened the curve and now are on the downside of the hill by a large margin!! We have to get more things open – restaurants, hair salons, clothing stores and other small businesses with restriction and safety measures indeed – it is psychologically demoralizing to the people in this state and it is wrong to do this to the 8.7 million healthy individuals – tyranny to a degree.
Over 35% of mortgages and 45% of rents were not paid in April and this number will be steady or grow for May. The money from the gov’t bailout is not enough to pay these bills plus utilities and put food on the table.
The psyche of the country and faith in going out has been almost destroyed by the daily fear they have pounded us with: 70% do not want to go to the movie theater, 60% do not want to go to a mall, clothing store or restaurant. The only way to build things back is to open it up and start to reassure the people that things are safe.
Hospitals are getting back to normal this week as the COVID floors have returned to normal operations as I have been told by doctors and nurses – St. Joe’s Paterson, Morristown, Jersey City Medical, St. Vincents NYC etc.
An extra 30 days will mean violent crimes and acts will be on the rise. Shoplifting will be on the rise as well, it is a proven fact that these occur when folks are feeling down about themselves, can’t provide for their families and angry about the situation.
