Peeps,

We have a few more weeks of winter to go here and ol’ man winter thinks and is going to make things very interesting for this time frame.

March 8th storm – is there but warm cuts to our west as his been the pattern so far a majority of this winter.

March 10-20 time frame

GFS interesting

Close but fine at this stage

I am sure there were the 30” plus snow maps on Facebook and online for next weekend. We have what could be our first true blue Greenland block that will trap to cold arctic air underneath it in SE Canada. This means that this cold air will be in our region during this time frame.

The jet stream will be active during this time frame with possible multiple snow events. It may be moderate (4” type plus) in nature or possibly big (6” type plus).

The track of the storms depends on what and if we get some white gold. There is so much percolation in the atmosphere due to a pacific wave break from the tropical pacific forcing out towards the dateline of planet earth. We finally will have a very good Atlantic set up, now we just need a bit more help from the chaotic Pacific.

Again staying with the 13th time frame =/- a day for our first threat.

There could be another in the 17th -20th time frame as well.

Clipper:

It came but was south and weaker – we did have a big snow squall here Friday night that coated the ground – some areas had .25” to .50”. Not what I was calling for but nonetheless white gold. Temps are below normal and downright cold.

Updates to come.
