Peeps,
HAPPY FIRST DAY OF METEOROLOGICAL SPRING!!
We spring ahead this time next week (that’s right lose an hour sleep) and shift our hours of daylight back so it is lighter later in the day – FOR THE FRICKING LOVE OF GOD THE DAYS ARE NOT LONGER THEY ARE STILL 24 HOURS LONG ARGGHHHH!!
Hope your leap day was great and thank God for this day because we did have a trace of snow recorded at NYC stations breaking the possible record of a snow less February.
As we were warm the west of the Mississippi was opposite – cold and record snowfall.
Say it Ain’t Snow!!
I have said this before that March holds a trick up its sleeve and it maybe a two-for! Meaning we may have a snowstorm, sorry Laura R but par for the course next Saturday, March 7th it is looking like and a cold spell the last 1/2 of March. Why wasn’t this in February and get it out of our systems!! But any snow is good snow and here today gone tomorrow snow IF and I say IF it hits us. But knowing March it will and has POTENTIAL to be a good snowstorm.
4/10ths of precip is about 4″ of white gold
Where the green line dips below the 0 black line on this chart = cold for the North East
6-10thish time frame
13-16th plus time frame – time will tell
Weeklies are more robust with it being colder/cool the 2nd half of March through the beginning of April

Last week I wrote about this hitting America and to start to stockpile supplies. The fear will hit hard this and next as the reports from the tests start to come in you will find the urban areas getting hit hard over these coming weeks. The trickle down affects:
Markets get beaten up more – another 5-10% drop
Ports slow down by about 25-35% in America meaning less goods and materials shipped in – we receive 80% of our medical supplies from China – their factories are closed. This will affect our summer goods for retail and stores since the goods that ship in now are for 3-6 months out.
Food issues with supplies. Shortages coming.
Mandatory vaccinations possible if this breaks out much further than anticipated.
More government control of our lives.
Closing of public spaces and buildings.
Colleges with high international students quarantine and close areas or entirely and all go online courses for a period of time
Cases go up to around 500 in USA, Globally by about 5-10% overall
Here it comes!!
Take your own personal precautions and let’s hope for the best!
Updates to come.
