BIG STORM INCOMING

  • Timing: early AM through tomorrow late afternoon/evening

  • Rain: 1-2″ of rain – flooding of streams, brooks possible

  • Winds: 30-40 mph sustained winds plus

  • Wind Gusts: 50 – 70/75 mph plus!!! Hurricane force possibly

  • Worst of winds between 11AM and 3/4PM

  • Severe Thunderstorms possible with hail

  • Power Outages likely

The country from the Rockies to the Atlantic coast from the Gulf of Mexico to the Canadian eastern provinces will all be under the gun. Tornadoes, severe t-storms, hail, arctic cold, a blizzard and tropical/hurricane force damaging winds.

* WHAT...South winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 70 mph
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, southern Connecticut
  and southeast New York, including New York City.

* WHEN...From Monday morning through Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
  Even sturdy and well secured tent structures could be damaged.
  Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be
  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this
situation. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe
location prior to the onset of winds.

Folks we also have a very active region of shakers around in California around the Long Valley Caldera = Volcano. Watch for this area for a 7.0 range EQ in the coming days

The last thing we need here is a damaging storm to add insult to this COVID Pandemic.

Great News on that front – we are winning the war and need to keep up what we are doing so we can get back to some normalcy of life.
