BECS – Biblical East Coast Storm?? 24″ plus
It is coming and it is going to be a classic, historical snowstorm in the making. We may and I feel pretty confident at this juncture have 2 days off – maybe bold but as the saying goes – Go Big or Go Home!! Going big here, no holds bar!!
This storm is coming from where most of our classic blockbuster all time great snowstorms come from – Southeast coast – down by Georgia/South Carolina. This Low Pressure system will be a beast and the snowfall amounts will be tremendous in the likelihood of one to two feet. We need one more adjustment to this storm and we could see 20-30″ plus. I have a feeling we see this adjustment tomorrow
Timing: Late Monday night around midnight lasting until Late tUesday night /Early AM Wed. – about a very long duration storm about 24 hours plus
Snowfall amounts – 14″ – 24″ (maybe plus)
Winds 20-40/55mph gusts
Conditions: Blizzard like all day Tuesday into Tuesday night
Impact – PARALYZING Tuesday and Wed morning possibly longer depending on the total amounts and winds (ala ‘2010 Boxer Day Blizzard – day after xmas and ’96)
Coast – moderate to possibly major coastal flooding and moderate to severe beach erosion – have an evacuation plan ready down there – 2 high tide cycles
Our Weather forums are in GODZILLA STORM MODE ready to go into ROIDZILLA STORM MODE 24″+ area wide!!
NNJ could be ground zero along with the LHV if this track holds. It all about the track differnce between 14″ and 22″
We will have snowfall rates of 1-4″ per hour for hours on end Tuesday.
The what is called deform bands will rap around teh backside of this storm – if they verify then we can easily snow into Wed AM and increase snowfall amounts by several inches.
Get what is needed this afternoon since they are sounding the alarms already! Pauly A told you Wed kid – plan on hangin in teh sun and fun till the weekend brother in Fla!
Updates to come.

From a pro met on the USAwx board and this is what I am talking about for a bigger worse storm than currently progged:
When the vort gets on shore and is sampled better, it could very well be more potent.. that will lead to a deeper low and slower movement.. how often have we seen that these things come in stronger once it’s sampled better. Wouldn’t be a complete shock if we trended more towards bombs sub 980 mb = coastal destruction and snowmegadon!!!!!
