Summer Pattern

Peeps, on this 1^st Thursday of August, dam Summer always goes so fast!, we have what is a remarkably unseasonable COLD DOME over us LOL!!! Not the Heat Dome, what horse poo vernacular they are using. It is called a high pressure and a low pressure. Like males and females of humans…….. that is it ………………..nothing else. I said this in my last blob last week about this below normal period coming up for August, the first 14 days at least. The pattern looks to hold for this thorugh until the end. The National Weather Service agrees:

 

We look to be below normal for the month. No heat waves expected as we had none this summer!!! We fell shy of the guidelines 2x. They will change them and re analyze the temps so they can say “we had 2 heat waves and the instrumentation needed calibration or the horse farts from the carriage rides interfered with the readings in NYC”. I digress, the cool, low humidity days are a blessing after the humid conditions of July.

 

Now look at these numbers and you’d say wow it was a hot July right?

Far from it. Why was the temperature departure so positive? The night time were higher than normal but the daytime highs were just at normal. So why the nighttime temps, what gives? The dew points and humidity kept the heat trapped. Thanks to the Hunga Tonga massive water vapor eruption that we are feeling the effects is my surmising. Not me you or mand made CO2. Night time lows were +3 so do the math – daytime highs were actually below normal. Look at how wet it was! I recorded 8” plus of rains here for July.

 

Upcoming week(end) ahead

Friday:

T-stomrs, T- Rex nature for us here, as you move way N and W of us – Guerci land region and the like, Tarbosaurus. Yes, Quinner Tarbs is coming to town. T Rex’s big bad meaner cuz who will bring hail, gusty winds and maybe an isolated tornado to the said regions.

Weekend: Looks to be beautiful with low humidity and temps in the low to mid 80’s

Next but maybe week: looks to be more like this week but may see heat come Thursday, upper 80’s as it looks now. Chance of rain next Friday ish again.
