Domino Affect from Corona
Since we have this possible pandemic taking shape of the corona virus it is smart for us here in the states to take some simple precautions and buy goods such as canned foods, rice, flour, meats, fish and freeze them, cleaning anti bacterial products – Lysol, hand sanitizers, vinegar, bleach products. You may think I am being extreme but look at how spooked the worldwide markets are – they are and indicator of the business but public sense. Look at every downturn in the worldwide markets and they have proven correct of something bad is going on whatever that may be. Maybe wise to move a portion (25% ?? more) of your portfolio into bond, savings and precious metals investments.
So what is happening? Italy had a massive outbreak of this virus in the Northern Part of the country and they government imposed a lock down – yes a lock down on that region – limiting travel, movement about, staying in place not be out in the public basically.

Friends who live tehre said it is a state of panic overall and fear.
So how can we control this here?
Close the borers to those countries who are showing this infectious disease but the problem herein-lies that is has and get this ……………………….a 14-21 day incubation period!!!!!

Ports and factories are closed in China which will have a huge impact on the coming months for us for a variety of goods that we get from there – medical supplies for one, parts for everything, clothing, even foods!!!
I told my students this in the fall that we will not see affects until the spring months from our own harvesting issues but with this there will be issues come the spring in one month and more so thereafter since 80% of our goods are shipped and a massive majority come from……CHINA!!
Harvest Issues
I harped on this bigly in the fall when the Upper Plains and Central Plains got hammered with early snowstorms, blizzards and anomalous cold up into Canada. Now we are seeing issues in Australia – drought, forest,wild fires – oh they are all out due to the torrential rains they have experienced in the last few weeks hmmm no report on this??, China and in our own continent of North America, Middle East and parts of Europe. South America had a banner harvest year which is good but can not make up for the lack in these other vast agrarian regions. Food supply worlwide will be hurting in the coming months.
Soros, Gates, Bezos and now Buffet are ALL buying farmland not because they are great American people looking to help us, HELL NO!! They see $$$$$$$$$ to be made and can control the market prices of food!!!! Think about this why in the world would Bill Gates buy thousands of acres of farmland?? He has not a clue as to this industry. He basically controls the electronics, computer markets. He sees money and control. Don’t be fooled please.

The earths crust is slowly expanding as we see an uptick in seismology event as earthquakes and volcanoes are much more prevalent on a daily basis of greater magnitude. Need to keep a close watch on the New Madrid fault in Mizzou (Missouri) cause the last time it went in 1813-14 it rocked areas as far west as Kansas and felt all the way into Virginia and Southern Pa. If we were to have a similar magnitude quake of 7.0 or higher it woudl be a blow to the northeast since our natural gas lines run through this region and major shipping takes place for materials and foods along these rivers here.
I hope you enjoyed this beautiful spring like day, rainy, cloudy next few days and raw. Then cold air rushes in and its winter like for a few days (Friday – Sunday)and then we’ll see what happens – the models are flip flopping with their signals – cold or warm.
The polar vortex as I wrote yesterday is extremely strong and if it ever breaks its hurricane eyeball death grip over the arctic region in the next 6 weeks on our side of the globe then watch out for a massive cold outbreak. This all has to occur before it dissipates as the weather warms when we get to mid April.
