Quick update after a long day:
Thursday we have rain temps in mid 40’s some areas have fog – yuck – 2 day thaw not like the TORCH the Heat Misers where calling for 10 days ago. They went back to their holes, I mean homes not be seen from again as they shivered through the 8th coldest month on record for NYC and Newark NJ. Blew all projections out of the water!!!!
Friday:
A very interesting set up again as an Arctic front that is over the Great Lakes Region works its way SE, Now again how fast it gest here can dictate how much ice and snow we get. The models went warmer then have ticked colder. No consensus yet and they are actually flying recon planes into teh storm to get data. This should help with the model forecasting.

Snow – coating to 3″
The big one ……………..schools – , what will they do? If this comes to fruition they will close. Hands down, no 2 ways about it!
I can say for sure all of the Hudson Valley adn NW NJ schools will close Friday and I would include Passaic County and Northern Bergen County from Paramus on North at this time. I want to get a phone call at around 7:30 if not sooner that starts of in a computer voice – February 3rd 7:26PM This is Mr./Mrs. __________________________ Superintendent/Principle of _________________. Due to the Weather Forecast of the impending storm we will be closed for Friday February 5th, all school activities are canceled. This message will repeat. Hopefully 2 more times this winter LOL!
