Wow was that crazy. These cells produce 80 mph winds us, dangerous cloud to ground lightening, hail the size of golf balls, flooding, tornadoes and now a Tsunami monitoring? ? I have never heard or seen such in my life in this area but here it is:

…Abnormal surge and strong currents expected for the
oceanfront, inlets, and back bays through the overnight hours…
Air pressure sensor and tidal gage readings in and near the
coastal waters indicate that a weather-generated surge has been
triggered by the earlier line of thunderstorms as it moved over
the ocean. A surge of several inches up to 1 ft is expected to
affect the region over the next several hours.
The following impacts are possible along the coast…

Strong unpredictable currents
Surge up to one foot above normal astronomical tides causing
Minor coastal impacts during the times of high tide
At the beach…
Prepare for the following hazards…
High surf washing up the beachfront
Dangerous rip currents
Duration of the Event…
The duration of the event in uncertain, though similar events have
lasted from several hours to one day. It is not recommended
to return to the water until at least Wednesday morning.
The National Tsunami Warning Center is monitoring this event.
Additional statements will be issued if necessary through the
National Weather Service Forecast Office in New York, NY.

Jesus mother of wetness it is going to be rainy from now until Saturday possibly early next week if this stalled front doesn’t decide to move out of here. Chrips if the GEFS are correct well see 2 -4″ of rain!!
