Peeps,
As I said in my Summer Outlook (if you have not read it please take a minute or two or three to go over it since I will be referring to it this summer) that humid weather, the threat of t-storms (T-Rex), and severe t-storms are in the making this summer. this is earlier than usual and this can be due to the Nino pattern. Speaking of T-Rex anyone see Jurassic World? T-Rex baby is all that I can say saving …………….
Also I said in my outlook that we would have some areas picking up 2x to 3x the amount of other areas some times in the same county!! Go figure, way!! Last night and today are perfect examples where Clifton recorded 1.48″ of rain and Pompton Lakes just .52″ of rain.
Looking ahead, we may see the second trop storm/cyclone being named in the Gulf of Me-he -co (Mexico) and his name is Bill – follows the alphabet for names – Anna hit back in late May – early to the party that Anna. Anyway Bill will swing up this way and bring rain/t-storm Thursday. Friday into Saturday should be dry. Then we start to get humid again and next week may looks as was written below:
The GFS and ECMWF show classic setups for Northeast US severe weather starting early next week. The GFS even has decent EML ejecting out Northern Plains on Sunday. But we will see if this come true. We also have to watch the for remnants of the tropical system in the Gulf to get involved
This is a recipe for severe wx (weather) peeps and a possible derecho – no not the Mexican gang type but the weather type that would do damage just like those old gangs.
I will keep you posted but more T-Rex manana and some severe maybe Tarbosaurus (t-rex’s big bro). Then some cooler less humid weather Wed through Saturday.
I’ll keep you posted.
