Peeps,
This weekend was marvelous with summer like warmth on Saturday – temps hit 81* up here in NNJ – a far frickin’ cry from this time last month when we were in the 30’s! Said we would flip around April 10th time frame and w edid but guess what? What you ask, it isn’t going to last, Sum of A Biatch! Who the H – E – Double “L” hockey Sticks ordered this negative NAO??? UMM who? This was suppose to happen this winter, not now dam it!! One big uggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh upcoming.
Here we go, rain and boat loads tomorrow into Tuesday morning for the area – 1-2″+. Hope ya’ll put the fertilizer and seed down cause it is going to love the stretch of weather upcoming to a degree.
We may see some T-storms to boot tomorrow afternoon into the night – total wash out with an onshore flow that started this afternoon and drove our temps from a high of 66* to 54* in about 2 hours – more cool, chilly temps like this manana!
We may see some warm up days over the next two weeks until the very beginning of May but the temps look to be cool and below normal from now until again the end of this month possibly into the first week of May. Again, where was this (Negative) – NAO when we needed it this winter – stupid North Atlantic (NAO = North Atlantic Oscillation). Here is the chart: See it dip below that 0 blue line – not goo dfor this time of year peeps.
Here is the temp profiles the next two weeks.
We also have to watch out for coastals and nor’easters during this time frame since that block (the – NAO) cna cause any energy that makes it to the coast slow down to become these types of storms.
For the foreseeable future – wet (very tomorrow Monday 4-20, cool, cold at night highs in the 50’s maybe upper 40’s and low in the 40’s and mid to upper 30’s (Do not turn the heat off just yet!!). I would not be surprised if interior section of the Northeast see some snow, yeah no kidding, over these next couple of weeks!
Have a great earth week everyone – the most majestic planet of our solar system and this universe and beyond.
