Wow what a weekend! A prelude to summer. I thought Saturday was going to be the best day but boy did Sunday rock once the clouds broke by about 3PM here. The temperature soared into the best decade possibly ever ……….the 80’s!!

In May we shall pick up another 62 minutes of sunlight and the temperature average will go from 67 degrees at the beginning of the month to 75 degrees by the end of the month. It is not feeling anything close to this for the next 10 days says this guy:

I know I know you are all PO with this information but those who wish for warmth in the winter are to thank. Let the seasons be the season and we won’t be dealing with this. Temperatures will be in the 50’s as highs and at night at frost and freeze territory low to upper 30’s and low 40’s for NYC (the urban heat island will insulate you unlike us in NNJ and the LHV).SO don’t turn that heat off just yet or put that extra blanky away – you are going to need it along with your jacket and sweatshirt for the next week!

We have poultry plants shuttered, mass euthanization of hogs and cattle, dumping of millions of gallons of milk and now through this latest government intervention the Ag Dept. is looking to have the military – that’s right the military will track and survey the fields all for our benefit – GTHO this is controlling our food supply. WHENEVER they (gov’t) steps in the screw it up plain and simple – civil rights, Iran, Benghazi, Somalia, Post Service, Air Traffic Control Strike, Train System, State and Federal Pensions – sorry to rant but these are examples.”
You may not see it in you store NOW but its coming as I told my esteemed colleague Andrea P. last month when she called me in a bit of panic. So start to stock up if you can. The meat shortages are real and it’s getting worse as we have major retailers, restaurants scaling back meat – poultry too. There were two massive fires (possibly arson for insurance money) that have occurred in the past week killing over half a million chickens. All I can say is I have been harping about this for months now and if you didn’t prepare you have some time to stock up.
Look at this below – just ridiculous.

The governors of NJ and NY have closed all schools for this year so see you in September. The schools will be closed for 1/3 of this school year when June rolls around. The amount of money each district will have saved will be in the hundreds of thousands to tens of millions.
I truly feel sorry the seniors, no senior prom, class trip, graduation (holding out hope) at their schools, college decision day (wear their school garb showing off where they will be going in the fall), yearbook signings but more so the unforgettable dreams they would have made as you and I have. They can NEVER get that back.
