Peeps,

One week ago we were dealing with a Nor’easter that was a hair away at the 500mb level and I mean about 50 miles from being an all out 14-20″ snowfall. A piece of the storm escaped or was more east than modeled and thus for gave LI all the goods once again.

Recap my calls for this storm – and yes I am a big boy and will call meself out as well as raise me up on Eagle’s Wings!!

From my March 19th call:

  • Blizzard Conditions during the height for ALL OF NJ, NYC, LHV, EPA – late afternoon Wed and Wed night – Nope
  • Winds 20-40/45MPH gusts – Shore 50 mph plus – Nope
  • SNOW AMOUNTS – 8″- 16″ plus NNJ – Yup the 8″ part not 16″ –  1/2 check
  • CNJ – 12-18″ plus – Parts – 1/2 check
  • NYC – 6-8″ plus – Yup Check
  • LI – 6-8″ – BUSTED more like 10-16″

It was a tiring 4 weeks of tracking but yet exciting. I know sumting wrong with you AL Q for this but I am not the only one!

1 WEEK AHEAD

This time next week some maybe crying or rejoicing – SNOW QUEEN and PRINCESS will be the latter and MANY will be the forward (?). The set up is coming back for a possible Nor’Easter or two. I know you will say I thought you said we were done and Spring will be sprung – well Low Solar and I mean almost nill activity is wrecking havoc on things as are other variables in our weather patterns that are taking place in the equatorial regions of the world.

This is what I mean by no solar activity.

Spotless Days
Current Stretch: 9 days
2018 total: 50 days (57%)
2017 total: 104 days (28%)
2016 total: 32 days (9%)
2015 total: 0 days (0%)

2014 total: 1 day (<1%)
2013 total: 0 days (0%)
2012 total: 0 days (0%)
2011 total: 2 days (<1%)
2010 total: 51 days (14%)
2009 total: 260 days (71%) – winter was rough with over 60″ of snow in a 7 week period and cold to boot!

The TV Mets or warmisists will NEVER point to the driving factor of almost everything on this spaceship we call Earth (Buckminster Fuller saying). I have been reading and studying research on the effects and folks we are in Cycle 24 (every 11 years is a solar cycle dating back to the early 1700’s – 11 x 24 = 264 years ago is when it was first tracked!)Cycle 25 which we start this year is going to be all Low Solar and we start to come out of low solar at the end of this cycle from all indications.

So back to this:

We see a colder pattern and stormy pattern the first 10-12 days of April and there may be 2 snow events/storms.

It was looking like April 1st and they are still trying to  pull this one-off but the entire time frame needs to be watched.

Below Normal temps with highs in the 30’s some day and some days 25 degrees below or normal highs of about 55 degrees – YIKES. If this were Jan or Feb it be bone chilling cold!!

There are a few chances and don’t let your guard down or put away these:

Orange Snow?

From my boy in the Willy, PB

“Did you guys see this? Dust storm in the Sahara got up into the stratosphere and it snowed orange in Eastern Europe.”
That is sick and folks would flip out if they saw that here! Like so:

Updates to come.
